National Defence University Officially Launched

The Commander-In-Chief of the Zimbabwe National Defence Forces, President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa officially launched the Zimbabwe National Defence University at Rodgers Alfred Nikita Mangena Barracks on 16 November 2018.

In his keynote address at the launch, President Mnangagwa highlighted that the university was geared towards contributing to the economic growth of the country.

RECRUITMENT OF GENERAL DUTY SOLDIERS AND SPECIALIST/ TECHNICAL PERSONNEL

Required are suitably qualified candidates who are interested in joining the Zimbabwe National Army as follows:

GENERAL DUTY SOLDIERS

Interested candidates should:

 Be aged between 18 - 22 years.

 Have a minimum of five 'O' level passes with grade 'C' or better.

 Be physically and medically fit.

 Be single.  Minimum height of 168cm and weight not less than 57 kgs for male candidates. Minimum height of 155 cm and weight not less than 55 kgs for female candidates.

 Complete a 10 km run in 45 minutes for males and 55 minutes for females.
