Army Rolls Out COVID-19 Vaccination Programme

The ZNA officially rolled out COVID-19 vaccinations for its frontline health workers on 25 February 2021 at 2 Referral Hospital. The Chief of Staff Administration Staff, Major General Paul Chima led by example as he was the first to take the vaccine, followed by frontline health workers who were all inoculated on a voluntary basis.

ZNA: Key Player in Disaster Management

The Zimbabwe National Army has remained a key player in rescuing various communities when disasters strike. Recently, the ZNA partnered with the Department of Civil Protection (DCP) and the Mazowe Town Council to reconstruct the 25m Nyandarama Bridge that was swept away as a result of the bursting of Kent 1 and Kent 2 Dams in Mazowe District near Iron Duke Mine.

Zimbabwe Staff College Challenged to Enrich Training Curriculum

The Minister of Defence and War Veterans Affairs, Cde Oppah Muchinguri-Kashiri has challenged the Zimbabwe Staff College to enrich its training curriculum in order to prepare officers to adequately respond to security threats affecting the Southern African Development Community (SADC) and the African continent at large.
